Shannon Scrofano continues her role as Director of Design for the Center for Performance and Civic Practice, where she is leading Nuestro Lugar: North Shore, a public, community-based project near the Salton Sea. This project emphasizes community engagement and will also be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.

The Nuestro Lugar: North Shore project will be part of the "Making Home—Smithsonian Design Triennial" exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, opening on November 2, 2024, and will run through the summer of 2025. This triennial features 25 site-specific installations, each exploring themes of home and identity across various cultural and social landscapes in the United States and territories. The exhibition will include the work of Shannon Scrofano and Evelyn Serrano, highlighting their community-based and collaborative design approaches in Nuestro Lugar: North Shore, which focuses on themes of local identity and engagement near the Salton Sea.
