Directed by Rachel Chavkin, the show has garnered multiple awards for its innovative staging and visual storytelling. Scenic Designer Rachel Hauck, a Tony Award winner for her work on Hadestown, crafted the production's iconic underworld setting, helping bring its haunting atmosphere to life on both Broadway and London's West End.

Scene Shift / The Exhibit
What is the nature of the event that we’re making?
Mimi Lien
Scene Shift: The Exhibit is a chance for the audience to get up close and personal with the work of contemporary scenic designers. Every designer has a different story to tell, sometimes that story is translated into art, and sometimes it is theatre.
Inspired by the book, Scene Shift: US Set Designers in Conversation, the exhibit will feature work by Abigail DeVille, Marsha Ginsberg, Shing Yin Khor, Mimi Lien, Collette Pollard, and Deb O among others.

Mimi Lien: The Social Sculpture Project
Curated by Mimi Lien & Itohan Edoloyi
“a work of art that employs human activity as the ‘medium,’ and strives to structure and shape society or the environment through language, intent, action, and objects” “a collective made up of early career designers/artists present work within the physical space of Lincoln Center that would function as a social sculpture—with the intention of shifting the demographics that have been the foundational underpinnings of Lincoln Center since its inception.”
Collette Pollard: The Lehman Trilogy
“TimeLine presents the Chicago premiere production of the 2022 Tony Award winner for Best Play!
Told in three parts over one evening, The Lehman Trilogy is the quintessential story of western capitalism, rendered through the lens of a single immigrant family. On a cold September morning in 1844, a young Jewish man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside dreaming of a new life in the new world. He is soon joined by his two brothers, and an American epic begins. 163 years later, the firm they establish—Lehman Brothers—spectacularly collapses into bankruptcy, triggering the largest financial crisis in history. Weaving together nearly two centuries of family history, this theatrical event charts the humble beginnings, outrageous successes, and devastating failure of the financial institution that would ultimately bring the global economy to its knees.”

“By Matthew Lopez | Directed by Meredith McDonough
This big-hearted, fierce, music-filled comedy has been hailed as “stitch-in-your-side funny” by the New York Times. Casey, an Elvis impersonator with everything going for him, including a flashy sequin jumpsuit, suddenly loses his gig, his rent is overdue, and his wife announces a baby on the way. So, when Elvis leaves the building and a drag show moves in, “The King” transforms into an all-out queen. With some snappy zingers and dance-worthy numbers, this wildly entertaining story challenges assumptions with extraordinary humor and depth.” - Arizona Theatre Company
Afsoon Pajoufar: Out of Character
“Beyond actor and director, much credit for the evening’s success goes to the incredible creativity and skills of the show’s designers. The angular, indented back wall of the bare stage as designed by Afsoon Pajoufar becomes the pallet for the multi-colored, well-timed accent lighting designed by Alexander V. Nichols that underscores the mood, setting, and/or theme…” (reviewed by Theatre Eddys).

Transforming Artistic Practices: Disrupting the Hierarchy of Traditional Creative Teams
“Workshop by Shana Cooper (USA) and Sibyl Wickersheimer (USA)
Using politics of space as an inspiration and the urgency to build healthier creative systems, we investigate barriers to and methods for radical change to collaborative production processes. Starting with spatial configurations of the workshop room, we will explore dynamic physical relationships for generative collaboration. Themes will be focused on international politics and peaceful yet transformative dialogue to solve problems. Each participant will be asked to reinvent previous participants’ contributions taking and tossing ideas intended as exercises to disrupt the hierarchy of traditional creative teams.” - PQ

Hana Kim: Summer, 1976
“Four-time Emmy Award® winner & Academy Award® nominee Laura Linney (My Name Is Lucy Barton, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes) and Tony Award® nominee Jessica Hecht (The Assembled Parties) return to Broadway in a new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and fellow MTC alum David Auburn (Proof, The Columnist). This deeply moving, insightful piece is about connection, memories, and the small moments that can change the course of our lives. Over one fateful summer, an unlikely friendship develops between Diana (Linney), a fiercely iconoclastic artist and single mom, and Alice (Hecht), a free-spirited yet naive young housewife. As the Bicentennial is celebrated across the country, these two young women in Ohio navigate motherhood, ambition, and intimacy, and help each other discover their own independence. Directing is Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (Proof, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes).
Summer, 1976 was commissioned by MTC through the Bank of America New Play Program. Production support is provided by The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and the Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater.” - Manhattan Theatre Club
